Message #7: "Bible Mail"

Greetings. The Lord told me to write another message today. It has been a while since the last one, because the Lord hasn't given me any words of instruction or exhortation to write so I have had no need to do another mailing. The same is true today , however, he has put several Scriptures in my heart. I hope the following Scriptures will serve to increase your knowledge of the Almighty God and multiply your faith and lead you to repent if you need to repent and help you to seek and serve HIM.

"Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. 'They will be mine,' says the Lord Almighty, 'in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son WHO SERVES HIM. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not" (Malachi 3:16-18).

"I will give you a new heart and put a NEW SPIRIT in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws" (Ezekiel 36:36-37).

"We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM." (Acts 5:32)

"...I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people" (Hebrews 8:10)

"I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with ALL their heart" (Jeremiah 24:7).

"Therefore, BRETHREN, we are DEBTORS (have an obligation), not to the flesh to live after the flesh. For if YE (brethren) live after the flesh, YE shall die; but IF ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:12-14)

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature" (Galatians 5:16).

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therfore honor God with your body." (I Cor. 6:19-20)

"I know, O Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps" (Jeremiah 10:23).

"No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful i s of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother" (I John 3:6-10).

"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires" (Galatians 5:24).

"If WE deliberately keep on sinning AFTER WE have RECEIVED the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearul expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. . . . It is a dreadful thing to fal l into the hands of the living God" (Hebrews 10:26-27, 31).

"To the Jews WHO HAD BELIEVED HIM, Jesus said, 'IF you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. THEN you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.' They answered him, 'We are Abrahams's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?' Jesus replied, 'I tell you the truth, EVERYONE who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed'" (John 8:31-36).

"But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you WHOLE-HEARTEDLY OBEYED the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness" (Romans 6:17-18).

"As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in ALL YOU DO; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" (I Peter 1:14-16).

"...Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her TO MAKE HER HOLY, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and TO present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or ANY OTHER BLEMISH, but HOLY and BLAMELESS ." (Eph. 5:25-27)

"His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: 'Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us--to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and TO ENABLE US to SERVE HIM without fear in HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS before him ALL OUR DAYS" (Luke 1:67-75).

"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our KNOWLEDGE of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (II Peter 1:3).

"MY PEOPLE are destroyed from LACK OF KNOWLEDGE." (Hosea 4:6)

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it DAY AND NIGHT, so that you may BE CAREFUL to do EVERYTHING written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." (Joshua 1:8)

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his DELIGHT is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates DAY AND NIGHT." (Psalm 1:1-2).

"Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. But those who turn to crooked ways the Lord will banish with the evildoers" (Psalm 125:4-5).

"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy--to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and fo revermore! Amen." --Jude 24

If the Lord has shown you something from the above Scriptures, I would love to have you share it with me! I have appreciated the comments/questions that a few of you have had. I will continue to respond quickly to each of you as the Lord allows.
